Today we’re talking about the ASTANAK, an Olderass that will appear in the comic L’Ombra del Tiranno.
It is an intelligent and evil Olderass that lives mainly in wooded mountain and hilly areas. It is capable of verbal communication.
◈ DESCRIPTION
These creatures are tall and strong, with a powerful muscular build suited for both hunting and combat. Their legs bend backward, giving them an unsettling and incredibly fast gait.
◇ REPRODUCTION
Astanak have no defined sex. When two individuals meet, they can exchange genetic material, causing eggs to develop in both creatures.
The orange sac on the torso contains the eggs during the reproductive period.
♞ BEHAVIOR
Astanak are solitary creatures that prefer to live alone in caves, where they collect objects that catch their attention.
They are extremely aggressive and fiercely defend their territory.
However, they are also hunters and attack both people and animals to feed on them.
They do not eat raw meat, but cook it before consuming it.
They often enjoy sadistically “playing” with their prey before killing it.
✧ MAGIC AND ABILITIES
From a magical standpoint, the Astanak does not possess particularly powerful offensive magic, but compensates with superhuman speed and the ability to create mental illusions (which, however, do not work on certain peoples, such as the Dragoncelli and Dronesiani.

The Astanak is native to Quarai, particularly its northernmost areas: Colle Basilisco, Val Tabià, Spartonia, Passo del Pescatore, and Regione di Granpugno.
ASTANAK – Un Olderass Spietato e Letale
Oggi parliamo dell’ASTANAK un Olderass che sarà presente del fumetto L’Ombra del Tiranno.
E’ un Olderass intelligente e malvagio che vive principalmente nelle zone boschive di montagna e collina. E’ in grado di comunicare verbalmente.
◈ DESCRIZIONE
Sono creature alte e forti con struttura muscolare potente, adatta sia alla caccia che al combattimento. Hanno gambe che si piegano all’indietro, e conferiscono loro un’andatura inquietante e rapidissima.
◇ RIPRODUZIONE
Gli Astanak non hanno un sesso definito. Quando due esemplari si incontrano, possono scambiarsi materiale genetico, generando uova in entrambe le creature.
La sacca arancione sul torso contiene le uova durante il periodo riproduttivo.
♞ COMPORTAMENTO
Gli Astanak sono creature solitarie che preferiscono vivere da soli in caverne dove accumulano oggetti che attirano la loro attenzione.
Sono estremamente aggressivi e difendono il loro territorio con ferocia.
Però sono anche cacciatori e attaccano sia persone che animali per mangiarle.
Non mangiano però la carne cruda, la cuociono prima di consumarla.
Spesso si divertono a “giocare” sadicamente con le prede prima di ucciderle.
✧ MAGIA E ABILITA’
Dal punto di vista magico, l’Astanak non possiede poteri magici offensivi molto forti, ma compensa con una velocità sovrumana e la capcità di creare illusioni mentali (che però non funzionano su alcuni popoli come Dragoncelli e Dronesiani.

L’Astanak è tipico di Quarai, in particolare delle zone più settentrionali: Colle Basilisco, Val Tabià, Spartonia, Passo del Pescatore e Regione di Granpugno.
